I recently watched "Aadhavan" a much hyped Tamil movie which had big stars ( suriya ,Nayanthra,Vadivelu ) and from a big banner "Red Giant" of Udhyanidhi Stalin and all coming under the direction of K.S.Ravikumar who had successes with likes of Nattamai and Padiyappa. The songs of the movie was already a big success ,scored by Harris jayaraj who always keeps it simple with tunes (though same with most of his movies) that makes younger lot in Chennai swing for his tunes, since we don't get many chance's to dance to the tunes of ARR in Tamil.
The movie starts in Kolkatta where a Hindu Saint from US is on his visit to India, where the villains contract surya to kill the holy man. This somewhat makes audiences to remember the characters like the one which Vijay did in "Pokkiri" and Surya himself in "Aaru" and lot many Tamil hero's think they easily fit these type of characters with hope of hitting into big fame .
Then comes the normal Tamil screen play where the Hero tries to Kill one of the good guys in the society for which he enters into his family and and into their good books. The big relief for the film is Vadivelu's Comedy which sometimes seems like repeated stuff ,but he doesn't disappoint in Aadhavan as well as the tone of his dialogue's and onscreen chemistry (the term which is always used for leading pair ) here it fits to be used with Surya, where Vadivelu is the cook in Murali 's(malayalam Fame) family who is a Specially appointed judge to investigate and find the people behind the murdering of children for their organs.Surya was contracted by the villain's group to Kill Murali whose findings will bring the villain's names on paper.
The twist and turns in the movie goes on,then a flash back comes in with Surya being Murali's son ( madhavan ) who was hated by his father who thinks he is the one who killed his aunt Anu Hasan.
There is nothing worth mentioning about Nayanthra as she doesn't make a big impact on either the story or with the hero. Finally its about the hero killing the bad man and getting united with the family which is any ones guess in Tamil movie's these days. The Only entertainment factors being the songs and vadivelu's comedy and one should feel sorry for Surya who always tries playing on different wickets this time plays safe on directors ground but sadly gets out cheaply.
In Short "Aadhavan" is worth watching ,if you fail to get tickets for the movie you wanted to watch Initially.

Off the Mark..
I never thought of writing blogs in the past but was always interested to read other people's. One reason being I always thing that am not good in writing readable English. But being in IT Industry and the opportunity to be part of this information revolution which I think is a great level playing field for people like me.Given the opportunities and access to various tools and technologies these days and also a medium to register or thrash one's thoughts seeing various atrocities in the society, I feel blogs are one way to get a relief from keeping something which we couldn't express or never get an opportunity to discuss.
